I sold my Cayman S last year, and had a 997 C4S a few years back. Now families, and other adult stuff get in the way and I was tempted by a Golf R.
But I miss my C4S, and have been looking with a limited budget for a well looked after 996 C4S ,as is everyone else and prices are rising. I'm tempted to buy as a second car and garage it. So, I missed one locally in seal grey, but this looks an OK price. No mention of clutch, or brakes or suspension work. Was a switchable exhaust available? There is a decent specialist in Bedford, so I'm trying to budget with an impending second child. 15k was my budget, for a C2, but I'm tempted by the looks of the C4S. I'll just buy less nappies :)
I've also put a PM out to another chap on here who is selling, but I'm not really car minded, so I'm a little bit in the dark when it comes to must have options from the factory and must have serviceable items. This car at least has had its RMS replaced Thoughts on spec and price?

No rebuild bill, it's painful to miss one locally and rebuilt.

The one I missed and in the same colour as my last C4S :( Good value too

Spec wise there wasn't much to add to the standard car but this ad' doesn't mention heated seats or cruise control.

The price is where it is due to the mileage and the fact that it's a private sale.

It looks like a lovely car but as always a professional PPI would be advisable.

Certainly worth a look. :thumb:

It's had its IMS seal replaced; not the same as RMS.

Hartech advise removing the IMS seal (easily done during a clutch change), to keep the IMS bearing oiled.

Silver one looks like nicely specced car, with Xenons, Bose, PCM.

Looks well looked after but service history and some bills would be good to see.

Yes, switchable exhaust was an option, often referred to as PSE.

Certainly worth a look!

Grey one was owned by a guy on here, is a great car, shame you missed it.
