Hi all,

I have silver dial faces fitted (from new according to options list I have with car) but they seem as if they must be stickers as they have bubbled on most of the dials.

Obviously this doesn't affect the operation but is annoying the OCD side of me every drive!

Options seems to be:

- replacement 2nd hand full cluster, probably easiest option but then there is the issue of mileage being wrong (and would only be black or white dials for sale)

- buy the stickers from porsche shop of design 911, seems very expensive for what they are and means pulling dash apart (with clumsy hands)

- find someone to replace the dial faces. Reap Automotive seem to be the only ones that come up on search but sent them email and left VM with no response so far, anyone know if they are still trading?

what does the intelligence of 911 uk think I should do?

thanks in advance,

Steve

I would definately not go with a complete replacement cluster, due to the mileage. What you could do though, as a compromise, would be to buy a set of dials from the same model, take the dials apart and swap the entire display section over rather than swapping the dial faces. Otherwise I'd go with doing new dial faces. The instruments are not that hard to take apart TBH, if in doubt buy a cheap Boxster set from eBay to have a play with.

I had the dials on my Turbo S bubble and thought well thats cr*p I thought they were painted no it turns out they were all stickers the guy who did mine did almost all the originals for PORSCHE and is still busy rejuvenating them is REAP AUTOMOTIVE DESIGN he printed new ones for me the stickers on mine were inexpertly applied so the illumination didnt work well now they are perfect.
