I paid 46.5K for mine in June at an OPC and its warrantied until March 2020.
Mines a GR Carrera, Manual, Sports Seats, Sport Exhaust, Standard Spring, 19" Carrera Sport alloys, Red console like the one you linked and a few other minor trinkets. One previous owner and 20K miles when I bought it.

Personally that feells like strong money for a PDK at a private dealer. If the warranty can be trasferred then I'd be tempted but as others have said you need to know exactly how they plan to do that.

Low mileage demands a premium, there are two other low miles 3.6's at OPC's (both just under 50k). The 3.6 is also rarer with less choice, and a 'perceived' lack of desirability (which is rubbish).
I wouldnt worry re the warranty it will be being sold 'on behalf of the owner' (lol) Even the most reputable Indys do this, how would Porsche ever know (or care) re the warranty?
If you could get that car at a good price its a cracker, the dealer will only have paid high 30's for it, and probably done little prep Thumb

Best colour in my opinion. I also like Ruby Red.

Red cars are statistically faster as well...

Guards Red is one of my favourite colours. So much so I have had 2! Never been an issue come resale time always plenty of interest. In fact the only bad point is that on club drives you invariably end up at the back as you are 'easy to spot' Hand

On the one you are looking at I'd negotiate hard I brought my 3.6 in October and paid £38k
Aqua blue
PDK
PASM
Memory heated seats
Chrono
Bose
Nav
50k mileage

Do't worry about the less desirable bit either. Performance with the chrono is pretty similar (to mortals) and the extra £220 per year saving in tax plus 32 mpg on a run do leave a smug smile on the face

That's because race cars start out white...

Well they are sticking at £44k so will leave it a few more weeks and if it's still there try them again.

Think it would look good with set Fuchs wheels and lowered and sports exhaust but guess this would invalidate OPC warranty.

That looks a really nice car low mileage, I think they are biding their time for a buyer soon or come spring, I think its would be great buy if you got it at 42k or 44k for that matter.

Guards red suits the 997 so well. So much win in this thread!

Stick to your guns OP try again towards the end of the end too, the flexibility on price depends on many factors beyond the initial margin they have when they bought the car in.

Seasonal slow sales and monthly targets figures could be good for you!

good luck

Thumb

Price keeps coming down, but have decided a Carrera 2 possibly not for me at that price would need to be an S unless price drops to £37k ish

My favourite colour! Closely followed by yellow...

My feeling is its a sports car and ideally should be highly visible!!
But TBH I have ended up just going for the car I liked rather than the colour in the end.

My 1st was a 997.1 in silver and my current is a 997.2 in Cream (Cocoa interior)

The 1st car never looked special in my opinion - compared to a yellow or red model.

I actually love the Cream but I live in Germany so it was actually underpriced cos people think it looks like a taxi Floor

Set you budget (sounds like you have) and find the car you like at that price.

If you like the colour, so will many other people when you come to sell.

Best of luck in your finding what you want.

Colour can be quite divisive: I was thinking about a Guards Red 911 until someone said that it'll soon look pink in the Dubai sun. Hmmm.

The problem with the very bright cars is that they tend to be knob-magnets, attracting all the wrong kinds of attention, if you see what I mean...

I think I'm going to have to get my cars wrapped in BRG. Except the GTI which just looks right in Candy White.
