It is ........... BUT ......... there's not than many around compared to the ubiquitous black, silver and grey examples so demand always matches supply.
A GR car would definitely not be shunned by 'the trade'. _________________ 2007 Guards Red 997 Turbo Tiptronic

Guards Red is having a bit of a renaissance at the moment, possibly helped by being the launch colour on the 991.2 GT3. My number one criteria when purchasing my car was that it was Guards Red. Its took me over 18 months to find the right car. I'm under no illusion that it may take me a little longer to sell but there is a bum for every seat.

Not everyone wants the Brighter colours and some dealers use it as an excuse to offer lower figures but they would use another excuse if it was black or silver.
Yes it’s true that less people want them, but there are plenty that do want them. Especially traditional colours like guards. There are more bums than seats at the moment so it really is a case of buy what makes you smile _________________ 997 Gen2 Turbo S - Speed.

The lack of colour choice in the 997 range is appalling. I like my colour nut would swap for a bright colour in a heart beat. Guards Red is a winner in my book _________________ 997.2 Carrera 2S GT Silver/Cocoa.

Having always searched for Guards, Speed yellow, Cream, White, id say the opposite is true, and these colours generally command a premium due to rarity.
Dark blue, black, grey. Lol fetch the sick bucket. Dont worry for a second gaurds will be hard to shift, it wont _________________ 997.2 Carrera 4S PDK (Herman white)

My preference of 'normal' colours, let's imagine I was looking for a GT3, would be:
Red
Yellow
Cobalt.....

I think it is, although not as much as yellow. They both on my 'will not consider' list when buying. I find guards red a bit too bright. Carmine red on the other hand...

Mine is GR and it took me a while to find one. Happily paid a premium for it too, as it had been a long wait. _________________ Porsche 911 Carrera S 3.8 Coupe

That looks like a lovely car but considering they're not a Porsche Specialist they're charging a premium price - probably based on the low miles.
I note from their advert that they claim it would come with OPC warranty until 2019. Ask them how that works as officially if the car has been traded in to a dealer the warranty becomes void. It can only be transferred from a private seller to a private buyer. _________________ 2007 Guards Red 997 Turbo Tiptronic

It has also had 3 owners, last one owned it for only 5 months or so he lives about 1/2 mile down the road from me and has had more vehicles than I've had hot dinners.
They were keen to do a deal, but not a pushy as all the OPC's I have visited.
What would be a good price ?

3 owners, even if any were just for a short time, isn't an issue. For many it's a 'tick the box' car.
As they don't generally deal in Porsches I'm sure they'd be very keen to move it on even if only for a small profit.
They'd say quite rightly that the mileage is a big + but they may not realise that the 3.6 isn't as desirable as the 3.8 (S).
At an OPC with a 2 year warranty I'd still want some money off that asking price. If you could get it for £44k it would be a fair price for what looks like a cracking car. Sort the warranty situation out with them first though. _________________ 2007 Guards Red 997 Turbo Tiptronic
