I'm keen to work out the original list price of my 996, I've waited for a couple of months for a 2005 price list / brochure to come up on eBay but nothing so far, does anyone have a copy? my car was registered March 2005 and is one of the final year 996's (C4S) so not sure if there was a 2005 specific price list or if it carried over from 2004? Any pointers welcome!

I have the original sales receipt for mine which was just shy of £70k in 2003!😮

This may help

Mac

That's interesting - suggests that the C4S and Turbo came with the fabled M030 sports chassis option as standard. Explains why they don't look any lower after it's fitted?

:thumb: Thanks Mac, that gives me a good idea, although would be keen to confirm what year that relates to. Tried the PCGB forum link but access to the 996 brochures / price lists faq section requires full membership.

Pretty sure I have one up in the loft as I sold them new then. I'm off the end of this week and can pop up in the loft and grab it if you like?

Hope this is of interest, found amongst my paperwork.

 very much appreciated, thank you

Thanks Hopkiss, never ceases to amaze me how many relatively cheap options weren't selected on so many £60k cars when bought new :dont know:

I know it's madness - especially that sports seats were a No Cost Option on the C4S and still not many have them!

Buyer did well to negotiate a set of mats FOC :worship:

Interesting as I wanted to do the same as the OP and find out the actual price of my car - a 996.1 2001 C4 with Aerokit. I finally manged to get hold of a late 2000 price list via eBay and worked out the cost below:

2001 Model 996 Carrera 4 List Price £59,560.00

Options:
Aerokit £4,995.00
18" Sport Design Wheels £1,705.00
Sports Exhaust System £1,620.00
Carbon/Aluminium gear lever & handbrake £565.00
Sports Chassis £510.00
Stainless steel exhaust pipes £495.00
Sports Seats £450.00
Heated Seats £365.00
3 Spoke Sports Steering Wheel (in leather) £196.00
CDR-22 CD radio £95.00
Total Options £10,996.00

Total Price £70556.00

My car was ordered by Porsche UK as a GT3 replica for the belated UK launch of the GT3 in late 2000 - hence the high cost of the options. The total price equates to £109,000 now! :worship:

Respectable list of options mate :thumb:

Sorry got caught up in a sea of mince pies and beers

M030 is indeed standard on a C4S. I'll keep the price guide out in case there are more questions :thumb:

PCM was an expensive option then.
