Do UK 993's ever come up as barn-finds or restore projects...??

the ideal, i suppose, would be a 993 Turbo. I'm hopefully going to be looking for one in future, as i'm hoping to semi-retire in the next 4 or 5 years.

Just wondering if such cars ever come up/available...?? :dont know:

Hmmmm not seen many (or any)and I keep my eye on the market.

You may find a neglected Non turbo, or like I did and buy a damaged example.

Even those are few and far between, just be realistic about costs. If you do find s neglected turbo, you will spend lots of $$ bringing it up to spec, ask me how I know :). Turbo's are another level on my Targa too, so be prepared.

If you're handy with spanner's you can save lots on labour, and for me that's where the enjoyment is.

Good luck with your search, I would love a turbo

George specialises in 'barn' finds :thumb:

according to Steve, mine was verging on barn-find material before she scurried off to the clinic in Devizes - I clearly hadn't fully appreciated the importance of a wiper widget, Becker's finest and back-filled apertures :dont know:

....... and am I right in thinking quite a bit more besides ....... :)

Badly modded 993s can be reasonable value as plenty of people won't touch one with the wrong wheels or, god forbid, the wrong shape side repeaters...

I thought George specialised in 'not able to finds'?

Thanks for all the replies guys -i'll keep my eyes open over the next few years. I'd absolutely love an old Turbo, take it off the road and spend time bringing her up to spec. Either that or send her to a specialist in Germany and have it done as a restro project....
