Paint advice please

I would like to paint the PCM face plate and other switch surrounds.

I would like a satin black finish and not sure what the best method would be. Either black with a satin clear coat over the top or strait on with a satin black?

I would like to do it myself so it will be a spray can job. Any advice on the best method and a paint recommendation would be appreciated.

A couple of coats of etch primer followed by 2 or 3 top coats of satin black is ample, clear coat is not needed - Halfords cans should do it.
