Anyone know if the roads as above have been salted yet?
I'm considering giving the old 993 one last blast up to darkest outskirts of Aylesbury tomorrow helping my buddy to pick up his TVR from a local specialist.

Right now she's all clean and washed down and shiny underneath down there so can't bear the thought of leaving salt sitting over the winter hibernation.

I know, I know - some will say just drive the **** thing but ........

do a search for gritter twitter in your local council area

Notice the relevance of posting in the 993 section

I'm based just outside aylesbury. I've not notice any grit or gritters yet. Also it rained all afternoon today so so long as the gritters are not out tonight the roads should be fairly clear.

I know this is way futher south, but Eastbourne was under near on an inch of salt on Sunday.

Thanks all. Decided to go for it. No sign of any salt; roads dry and sun out. Ran up to Tring for a 'fat boy's brunch' and the on to Westcott Venture Park to pick up Trevor: who hopefully is no longer leaking from the rear main seal.
Nice blast back home.
