Hi guys anybody know much tip fluid is needed for an gearbox oil change

cheers

The process to change the fluid is not just to drain it fill it with a certain level. You have fill it and check the level at a certain temperature. There are DIYs out there online explaining the process. You do need a PWIS I believe to be able to read the temperature. Fairly specialist job and crucial it is done correctly.

As for your specific question I am not sure on the exact quantity that usually goes in but a quick search suggests around 6 litres for the mercedes 722.6 box. Lots of info on these gearbox out there on the various forums.

Thanks for that not going to do it myself just collecting the parts for next service
