Just had a Macan S diesel loaner from opc as 997.2 being serviced and 2 new rear tyres. I knew these get rave reviews but what a machine. Simply astounding combination of performance economy comfort practicality. To make matters worse the wife and 2 teenage daughers loved it as well. So what the heck life is short ...i'll chop the 997 for one for a couple of years. Er maybe not. Trade in value offer brutal. Engage a specialist to buy 997 instead. Identical £ number appears. Webyanycar wee bit worse (but not much). 14 months and 2k miles resulting in a £10k hit. So not happening .... was just a thought. Not in the least troubled at the drop BUT am very surprised. Anyone any thoughts on the seasonal effect on price (assuming there is one !). Maybe £+3k in spring time ?

Well, if you bought from a dealer, most of the loss is probably the buy-sell spread. Go to a dealer on Monday morning, buy a gen 2997. Try to sell it Monday afternoon to the trade and you'll take a big hit. Which is their profit margin. C'est la vie.

Problem is OPC is not the best place to get the best price as their used car margins are so high they have to buy below market and sell above market but because they stick a 2 yr warranty on it they can get away with it and people still buy from them.
we buy any car always offer less so neither of those are giving you a good reflection of true value. Try 911 virgin and a couple of other specialist indys also try putting an add on here. That way your a cash buyer and ready to be robbed ooops sold to again buy the opc buying a mecan
I have no idea what depreciation you will get in a mecan but I imagine it will be much more than in a 911.

unless its a cab I wouldnt expect much seasonal drift in the value of these cars

We buy any car offered me 4 grand for my 997.2

I only put the reg in because i was looking to change the wifes kia and was checking the px value on that

We buy any car offered more for the Ceed than the 911 lol

I had some really good offers via tootle on my RS6....
Worth a look.

Sell it private or better still keep it 👍

Just as well really, you'll get bored of the Macan after a couple of weeks

Joke thread? trade the 997.2 for an SUV? eh what!!! There pretty good but there are plenty of other SUV's out there :?:

Looking at 997.2 prices there is no such thimg as a sesonal dip, if you dont come to your senses advertise on here :hand: :nooo:

Just looking at 997 Turbos and seen this one for sale, seems to be reasonable, especially so since it's had a previous lady owner and also had a full 111 point check done.
I know a lot don't like the colour but I think it's really stunning in Blue.
Spec is good, mileage is reasonable and major service has just been done including plugs and packs and tyres.
