so potentially been offered a turbo 997.1 cab tip

lots of miles not perfect hood. lots of recent work

whats it worth?

Who can say? That's a lot of mileage and apart from engine wear n tear, you may bebinto lots of brakes and suspension refresh work, not to mention the usual things such as rads and condensirs.

Consider having an inspection to assess the car and what it needs and then you'll have a better idea f you want to buy it and ask the specialist what he thinks its worth.

Prices for 996 and 997 turbo cars are all over the place at the moment.
I doubt a good reputable specialist will take this car in with the mileage and leaking hood - probably too much work needed. But that is a guess.

Try We Buy Any Car and see what they'd offer for it.

£30k :dont know:

Shame its a tip. Would be perfect to send to 9e or ESM for a few mods. If there are any manual high mileage 997.1 turbo out there with broken engine or gearbox I'd be interested in buying

I would say £35k and that would be a good buy and a lot of car for the money.

Its got a Mezger !!

that's about what its offered at, I would have difficulty not modding it as it would not lose much real money....

I could try and keep the GTR as well as I'm having sellers remorse (had it 9 years, last 3 nothings gone wrong)

thing is I will need to get my wife to drive both, its going to be painful when she kerbs the wheel or dents it....

God that must be tempting. 71mm ESM VTGs or 9e GT2 RS VTGS Question

I would end up spending as much as buying 60K version but it would be fast....

Not if you're smart. If you can source a set of second hand GT2 VTGs and send them to Owen Developments for a compressor wheel upgrade and refurb to whatever size you decide and then maybe go to Rick at Unicorn for a custom tune all in I'd say you'd be spending £10k including sports exhaust. You'd spend maybe double that at 9e or ESM but would have done stop shop with all the trouble shooting sorted.
