Will consider anything in good physical condition as long as it doesn't look too modern. Don't mind a cassette or CD player.

Would even consider a non working unit at the right price.

How about one of these:

ToreB sells a decent looking unit which I think is 'continental' brand :thumb:

Official Radios were the following

M320 RADIO "PORSCHE CR-11"
M324 RADIO "PORSCHE CR-10"
M326 RADIO "PORSCHE CR-21"
M329 RADIO "PORSCHE CR-210"
M330 RADIO "PORSCHE CR-31" 97
M331 RADIO "PORSCHE CR-1

as below

both a Cassette and CD version of the CDR210 were available

Otherwise you're into the Blaupunkt models which were all official options per the image below (and an upgrade on the OEM!)

Can ToreB or anyone tell me if the Continental radios can be installed in a 996. Anyone done this. Looks like a good upgrade with OEM style finish. Also where can they be purchased. Thanks

Thanks for all the replies / offers / education. I'm sure I used to have the Duesseldorf in an old Golf, probably sold the whole car for less than the cost of a used stereo now!

I think the Continental looks the most promising option, the car will never be a concourse winner, but it will at least look right and have some modern day practicality. The current one I have installed lights up like a council house at Christmas.

Ask Tore a question on here or visit his website for details. I suspect if your 995 is pre MOST then it'll work. If it is MOST then the wiring may need sorting :dont know:
