Its been a while since i posted but can now start looking for my new toy.

My preference is PDK with paddles :) C2S or C4S with as many toys as possible.

Spoke to a local Porsche specialist D&G in North Shields (Newcastle) who reckon they are spot on with not many problems apart from the normal wear & tear.

Anything i should watch out for?

Is it ok to post links to cars for comments and advice?

Thanks

Yes, you had better watch out for the stampede of other buyers competing for the same spec car! 8)

These cars seem to be the sweet spot IMHO. Always happy to give our two pennies worth on links to cars, but you might want to keep them under your hat :thumb:

Good luck with your search!

Like this one :D

£46 is strong money for this one but suppose its in the mileage at 39k also i assume that RSJ have a very good reputation and warranty??

RSJ do have a good reputation on here for cars and warranty repairs. Unfortunately, along with OPCs their cars are always top end prices

that interior is just to much for me lol

I really like the white cars but wor lass is saying no to white however i may have to take no notice and get an ear bashing for a day or two :)

What is your budget, top whack? That'll help us to begin with...

You can fit paddle wheel to early cars. The early ones tend to have no sports exhaust, but you can also fit that.

4S will tend to fetch more, but often have higher spec. I was avoiding white and black, so that does limit the number of cars even more.

Good luck.

As time has gone by, the C2-C4 gap is not what it used to be. The AWD system is pretty clever and the car retains the RWD bias much of the time. The front feels like it has a bit more weight on it, but you adapt to whichever one over a few days.

Unless the road conditions are poor, I wouldn't care which car I was in. A few times abroad I've been on really slippery roads and never in the C4S.

I prefer the brake feel of the C4S. The wide body and wider tyres look better. If you have the right wheels you can fit 305 rears to the C2S to even things up a bit.

Thinking of selling my 997.2 pdk every option ticked. It is 33,500 miles Oct. 2008 one of the first gen 2 cars. Silver, sports seat with memory, sports exhaust (fitted last year by Porsche Glasgow) paddle shift wheel (Porsche fitted by original owner), Bose, sports chrono. sat. nav. Carrera sports wheels, Porsche crests in leather seat and central cubby. Had it treated with Gteq. crystal serum. New Porsche windscreen. a few stone chips on bonnet and bumper but nothing major. Had rear LED light replaced under warranty along with cross pipes and lambda sensor. Will be gutted to sell planning to get a GT3 still waiting for an allocation.

I bought from Porsche Bristol 3 years ago this Dec. FPSH and 16months Porsche warranty.

What do guys recon it could be worth. Glasgow keep trying to buy it for about £7,000 less than similar ones sell for.

I'd say Good dealer around 47. OPC probably 52. Private 43?

Thanks for that - pretty much what I was thinking - I think the OPC being a bit greedy - what a surprise :0)

Cheers Smudge.

S or non S? Coupe or Cabrio? Unless you've left out some options, I wouldn't really say that has "every option ticked" (heated/cooled seats, parking sensors, cruise, Bluetooth, Universal audio interface are missing) There's a decent amount of cars out there with at least that spec.

Also a £7k spread from an OPC seems reasonable tbh, remember they have to offer a 2 year warranty, get prep work done, pay for that shiny showroom and nice reception ladies and the eventual sale price will probably be haggled down a bit.
