Trying to locate a 'nice' C4S.

Must be manual, black interior, Silver, Seal Grey or Lapis Blue - defo NOT black...

Up to 80k miles with full(ish) history.

Ideally with heated seats, but not essential. Prefer lower ownership (5 or less owners would be ideal).

So far all the cars I have viewed have had at least 1 very poor paint repair or have missing service history (4/5 year gaps!), or have been crashed multiple times, or look like a pack of wolves have clawed their way around the interior!

If anyone is selling theirs or knows of a car that isn't advertised online then get in touch, happy to pay the money for the right car in the right condition!!!

Thanks in Advance! Paul

Sorry - forgot to add that it is a Coupe, not a Cab I'm looking for...

:welcome: to 911uk Paul.

You don't mention your budget but if all the ones you've looked at are that rough it's probably not enough for a 'nice one'.

Good Luck though.

Thanks for the reply TB.

What do you think I should be budgeting to buy a nice one?? I've looked at cars from mid-20's upwards.

I'm flexible on budget but not wanting to spend as much as the 13k mile one at Porsche Centre Brooklands... If I need to spend £45k to get a nice one then I'd look at spending my money elsewhere...

I'm amazed that at mid £20k's all you've seen are dross.

Asking prices for good C4Ss have gone up in the last 18 months but £25k should still net you a decent one within the criteria you've set.

£25k was the cheapest one I've viewed, and so far £30k is the most expensive one with a couple somewhere in between. 3 were private and one (the most expensive) was with a specialist. I think perhaps I may have been unlucky so far with the ones I've viewed and also perhaps encountered some ' optimistic' private vendors that don't understand what poorly repaired paint looks like???

I am also looking at the moment for a C4S with similar criteria as yours but I would prefer a car with no more than 65k ish on the clock. I feel your pain though! All cars I have also viewed have had patchy service history, botched bodywork or like you mentioned interior items scuffed/scratched to an inch of its life! I thought they would be more loved!
A heads up Porsche Centre Swindon have a mint Seal Grey car not currently advertised with PSE, and will come with OPC warranty...has 78k on the clock which I believe they are asking £31950. Worth considering with OPC back up.👍🏻

Thanks for the heads-up BChivs... I'll check it out!

I expect we may have viewed some of the same cars!

I don't know whether of use to you but a guy on Porsche Owners UK (Facebook) was advertising his and his fathers C4S's for sale this weekend, one of which has had a Harlech rebuild. Doesn't state whether manual or not though :dont know:

Looks like Photobucket have caught up with me now, wanting me to pay, so can't upload the add but his name is Tom Ingram

Thanks for the reply DaveH911, I've just asked to join that FB group so will have a look..

Thanks for the link jpsh120, I emailed Cameron yesterday evening and will try to see the car after the weekend. I don't like a few bits on that one (Sport seats, blue belts) but I can always change these if the rest of the car is right... I think they have had it in since the start on the year so I'm not too optimistic as I would have expected it to sell quickly if it's a really good one!

Any good;

http://www.cameronsportscars.com/used-vehicle-details/Porsche-911-U467/

I have heard several glowing reports for Cameron.

I've looked at this one and walked away....Top money for an average car at best. Air con faulty most likely condenser issue, interior panels scuffed to bits, drivers side Bose door cover kicked in, no receipts for any previous work.

The welcome I was given left me a little cold too...verging on rude.

Hi Raynesy,

good friend of mine mine has a Lapis c4s manual coupe that ticks all the boxes

Have pm'd you the details :thumb:

Many thanks for the heads-up Manic996t. Just seen your PM so I'll call him shortly...
