OK chaps,

After my trip to Spain, Monaco and the French Alps I made this video on what I think is driving heaven. Hope you enjoy and let me know your feedback.

Was the best holiday I've ever had! And the car was faultless...

Great little video. Pretty much every bit of driving you covered there looks familiar. The mountain roads in the Pyrenees, Alps, Juras, some amazing roads out there, a fantastic driving trip can be done across a long weekend.

In answer to the question posed, in my opinion, no, the N85 isn't the greatest, but it's bloody good when you catch it without traffic.

I really need to post my annual charity rally routes on here. I put a good couple of weeks into planning the roads to make sure there is plenty of epic scenery and amazing drives.

Thanks. It was my first trip there and first trip in my car. We only had two days in the area as it was part of a larger road trip. Would be great to have some routes.

There are some great roads in Northern France, you don't have the scenery but great flowing roads through the countryside, quiet too so making progress is much easier.

Great video and footage is definitely improved with a drone, I just wish I had more time to do so on some of our trips.

The N85 is one I have done a couple of times and its hard to think that there are better roads out there but soon you discover there are so many and you always find something better than the last one you thought was the best. Gorge du Tarn and the area of the Verdon Gorge are some really memorable roads in France but as soon as you go further East into Austria and Northern Italy the roads get better again and some of the Swiss roads are just stunning.

It does get addictive and I need to have a fix of at least two trips each year nowadays.

Great video of ( part) of your trip, after your build thread it seems too short , left looking for more mate!!!
There must be some more scrap footage on the cutting room floor to cobble up another ??

Drone angles are spectacular , are there any disadvantages whilst filming with the drone?

Car is looking ( and sounding great)

The drone is a great tool but it can be problematic. When I launched it at the bridge it was swarmed by a flock of birds! They were small and seemed to feel threatened. I had to land it again and wait a minute and then put it on the other side of the bridge hence the two angles.

Wind can be an issue but only high winds. I've had it up in 20 knots and it's been ok. And if you're filming with a ground camera (for audio/second angle) you have to watch the drone doesn't get in the audio which happened to me in Yorkshire at the detailers.

I'm teaching my girlfriend to fly it so we can get more dynamic shots. That's her flying it in the last drive away shot. She was awesome. She landed it as well.

I didn't shoot too much over the holiday. I had to balance it with our holiday so I did a little bit of filming in Monaco but not much. I had planned to do a blog but I quickly saw it would have a negative impact so I stopped.
