Can anyone who has been on Donny with a 991 GT3 confirm or deny that it passes the noise tests ?
I suppose the 98dB driveby can be achieved (via right foot), but would like to know if its a 'yes, give it a go' or 'dont be a tit, stay at home'

Either 'normal' or 'sports' exhaust mode.

First hand experience is golden Smile

2010 Porsche 997 GT3

A 997 GT3 at full chat trips the noise meters at Donington and the 991 is louder... You need a noisy day unless you want to spend the whole day obsessing about keeping the car quiet I am afraid. Goldtrack have one coming up on the 17th of this month with the full fat 118db if that works for you, otherwise Bookatrack have an unsilenced day on 3rd of October.

Speak to Matt at Fearnsport he's developing a bolt on silencers which will let you run at Donny

This is such an inconvenience, production cars not making noise limits can only mean the end of trackdays for anything other than hatchbacks!

I find drive by more difficult to manage, you can cheat a little and blag the static but drive by means spotting the sound meters and short shifting, lifting off or using partial throttle, which in essence defeats the object!

991 GT3's have been on track at Bedford where the drive by is 87.5 and static 101.

Drive by of 98 is about the highest of any circuit in the UK
