What's the story on this one then ?

http://www.angliacarauctions.co.uk/...-17th-june-2017/1995-porsche-911-993-carrera/

It looks like the car sold for £26,250 including buyers premium .

I appreciate it's tip Tronic and reasonably high mileage but it's a nice colour and it has sports seats so why is it so cheap ?

Or has the bubble finally burst and prices are dropping fast to the legendary 25 bags Zingari level.

For only 3 bags more than the 993 somebody acquired this beauty of a Chevette....

Should have put my money into 1970's Vauxhalls

Who'd have thought it.

It looks an absolute shed tbh. At auction that looks a fair price, given you might need to chuck 10-20k at it quite soon. It's not representative of the breed.

Hardbacks as well, so there's £5k under your arse to start with

Recent big bill suggesting quite some work done to it.

Without premium/VAT under 25 bags :thumb:

They're out there :floor:

Feel free to dive on in there :floor:
Looks mint! :bandit:

Heated as well :thumb:

Not sure the backs are painted or wrapped but the factory finish would have looked a lot better.

Looks like it's got extended leather - maybe they're covered in hide :dont know:

Have to agree with Chris, looks rough.

Boring Silver with Blue/Classic Grey was never going to help it either. Tiptronic, dirty engine bay, mismatched indicators, tired exterior lighting and the wrong side of 150k miles, i'm surprised it did as well as it did.

Ahh yes, but have you ever driven an HS Shovit ? I had the dubious "pleasure" of owning one. A bigger heap of sh*te you'd be hard pushed to find. Mine was factory fresh, completely unmolested and had less than 10k miles on it. Only Vauxhall could have so comprehensively messed up what could (and should) have been a great car. Opel on the other hand (zose chermans again) made the Ascona into an absolute peach of car when they built the Ascona 400.

My Ascona 400 memories can be found here :

Illuminati member exposed :what: Only an inner sanctum 'brother' would note the 'tired exterior lighting'.

I'm amazed that's a walk away issue. Elbow grease would sort most of that and that comes free :floor:

realistically tho, its the closest you'll get to 25 bags, so why arent you buying it?
mileage/condition/risk?

Oops, i'm inner sanctum outed...

Elbow grease won't sort a less driver focussed gearbox, colour boredom and mileage. The fact that it's looking tired shows the previous owner wasn't an enthusiast IMO.
Still, it's a lot of car for the selling price but I imagine that there's a fair few £££'s to be spent to get it tip top.

They are here's another! And it has the fabled 'wing backs' plus are those holospikes? Could be had for 25 bags and it's a manual  probably old and tired however in today's market well priced

:hand: It'll get dismissed as its boring silver and blue.

It's a 25 bagger. Roll up, roll up :thumb:

True but I bet someone hits the reserve online button on their website very soon, my finger was hovering at one point

3 yrs in waiting, will you be parting with cash? What will it take I'm intrigued now lol. It's only 179,000 miles everyone says 300k is achievable it's only just run in!
Or are you hedging bets on a crash and picking up a 2 or 4S with 80k for 25 bags anytime soon? I'm retiring in a few years would be cool to see this saga end lol
