Out of interest, where does one go to get them repaired, eg to get the seams on the silencers fixed? Are there specialist exhaust repairers or is it a diy job?

I saw someone mention Custom Chrome on here a little while ago, a firm in Nuneaton.

I will be dropping mine off there on Monday/Tuesday next week (he is on holiday this week) for them to be done. I had sent across pictures and Graham got back to me pretty quickly with an idea on price.

I am having my PSE taken off my C4S in a couple of weeks.
They are going to fit a Miltek system that I have.
The plan is to repair the PSE and then refit, sell or sell with the car.

I will report back when it's off with pictures of the work needed to refurbish them etc.

Just got my targa back from a service at Northway and they have warned me that the seams are going on my factory fitted PSE. Its not blowing yet so I want to look into getting the seams repaired in the short terms nd start saving for an original replacement. All the advice on this thread is helping so thanks.

Im going to check the ExhaustMod guy in Milton Keynes as he travels out to fix seams on Porsches. Will report back on how that call goes.

I've tried contacting Paul (PCW) more than a couple of times without joy.. Did you manage to get hold of him? My exhaust is blowing albeit only when cold & I'm looking to get it sorted.

Been watching a number of threads regarding the PSE, both my boxes seams are beyond repair, so I've been looking at replacements, I'd love to keep it original so I requested a quote for supply and fit from my local OPC extract below

Thank you for your inquiry on the two rear silencers for your Porsche 911 C4S cab. The cost of the two silencers are £2503.00 Inc. vat for the passenger side and £2247.00 Inc. vat for the driver's side silencer.
There isn't a fitting kit available I'm afraid, but what I have done is add all the various nuts bolts gaskets etc.. you made need this comes to as an accumulative price of £70.00 Inc. vat. I have spoken to our service department as well for you and to have the work completed by ourselves would cost £5429 Inc. vat, that is for all the parts and labour required to complete the job.

Think I'll be looking at the Topgear or Designtek options Surprised

There is a group buy for OEM Stainless Steel Eisenmann on the link below; cost £1550 not bad considering the prices you have been quoted!

That's crazy money. Here's the quote from Porsche Centre Bristol recently for both sides (discount is Porsche Club):

"The cost provided is the best we would be able to do, I have spoken with my parts department and at present the sports exhaust is currently on back order.
The cost for the parts only including the discount is £2382.43
If I can be of any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me
Kind regards"

They came back in stock about 6 weeks ago.
