...... yup I think I will be there before you and the rest of the "Chunnelers" but might hang around the Reims circuit for a while to see if the any of the Calais overnighters rock up ....... do you know what time they are scheduled to leave or is it open ended for them to decide?

My guess is they will be on the road 9.00ish. The route I've given them uses the autoroute to start with then heads cross country from Laon. It should take them 3hrs plus however long they stop for a comfort break.

Max is looking after the group staying in Calais so I'll ask him to keep you posted with their progress Wink

Sorry I missed you today G2.....we were watching the action at the front of stand K, two crashes today.....one of them with it's rear end into the barrier and it took the marshalls' about 20 mins to cut the rear spoiler out of the armco.
With all the barriers in place it's quite a hike around town up and down hills from the harbour to Casino square....I know since I did it twice on Friday.

Great to see Mikka Hakkinen, Eddie Irvine, Mark Blundell, Derek Watson, Emanuelle Piro, and others throwing old F1 cars around the track, terrific noise..

Looks like you had great close up views though... Thumb

If you walk into the train station there's a lift for the above car park that runs from harbour level to casino level. Makes it miles easier.

Yeah I did that Alex, but they've changed a lot this year, very little signage and more barriers and merchandisers making it horrible to get from one end of town to the other......I was exhausted.....I had to stop and have a drink on the way.... Grin

Np glad you are enjoying it and there certainly was a lot of action. Great to see these cars being given the beans.

I was shouting at that Marshall when they showed him trying to drag the wing out of the Armco...priceless bit of car being used as a crow bar!!

We watched the porsche parade from cafe de Paris, excellent lunch spot . And one car really stood out. Thanks to some of our group for this pic of it Smile

We are in k2 today. Enjoy the racing Thumb
