Hi guys - weird issue that has happened twice with my C4S already...just happened now 11am UK time. Basically the alarm kicks off for no apparent reason, car is on the driveway locked and nothing or no one around who potentially triggered it. It's on trickle charger plugged onto cigaret lighter. New battery fitted not long ago S5 010 Bosch Car Battery 12V 85Ah Type 110 S5010. For some reasons it happened twice on a hot day, car is exposed for a good par of the day. could be related?! Thanks

mines been doing the very same to the point it drained the battery yesterday whilst I was out. Its now currently on charge and IF car starts is booked in at 14:00 today for new key which was the original problem when car went into sleep mode and would only start when it felt like it ....arrgh!

The wife's Audi TT did that, ended up getting an auto electrician to check what was setting it off on the computer and it was a faulty boot catch, intermittent so basically every now and again it thought the boot had been opened. Have you tried unlocking it and making sure it's all closed up fully. Micro switches on that so temperamental

It can also be triggered by the glove box not being closed properly.

If you take your car into your local Porsche indy they can put a tester on it and read out Events and Activations .. one of this will say what has triggered the alarm for the last 10 times .. the other will say what faults the alarm recognised when it was locked .

This i feel is going to be far cheaper than guessing and maybe replaceing parts .

Its probably going to be interior monitoring or the dam tilt sensor / alarm siren wiring which has rotted out causing poor connections .. rather common these days im afraid .

Anyways .. its about 10 mins to read out those values and you will then at least know whats causeing it .
