Belt broken car away to dealers with broken belt, just 13k on clock and they say the belts already been changed out on a previous service. I'm waiting for the outcome, warranty I hope!!

Gen 2 car I take it? Not heard of that before... I do hope it is a warranty job and nothing else is damaged... good luck :)

If the car has warrenty then it will be covered , thats well short of the replacement which is 6 years and they will last a lot longer than that .

very unusual though .. they will look for a reason .. ie tensioner etc so dont worry about it too much .

An update on the situation is that the belt tensioner requires replacement and a new belt fitted, both under warranty !! Which is good news. No other damage.
