Sorry. Been earning brownie points to offset this weeks impending collection. Why don't lawns and hedges cut themselves?

It's not mr pub, It's Wally Battey....that should set off some comedy googling on a Sunday night... Question

I've had e-mail confirmation today that crash helmets are NOT required for the parade laps.

After leaving a phone message, sending two e-mails and then a letter I finally got confirmation this evening from Dominos, Steakhouse in Spa that we are booked in for our Sunday evening meal.

Top work T8.

Also, F1/PSC are at Spa this weekend, so lots of tv coverage of the place to get us started...

Porsche race coverage - Eurosport 2 - race 1 sat 5:30pm - race 2 sun 10:15

I was told about an app called Glympse.
Some of the Bournemouth boys used it for Dinslaken

It's GPS sharing with maps... You all join it,. Then everyone can see where people are ?

I have set the group up, and then input all the destinations from your itinerary Thumb

Might be useful. I've sent invites to it

Cheers

Guy

Hoping that PCM3 is better than my previous PCM2 Floor

App looks good. Great idea.

I've agreed with T8 to film each other's tourist runs around the track, so hope everyone is ok that I'm behind him on the laps. Happy to put someone's GoPro/camera in the back of mine to film the front of their car (the suction cup mount is the best for this), but you will get a bit of yellow in the frame Smile

I have a couple of 911uk plates on loan from 911 towers Thumb if anyone wants to use one. Must be taken off before driving back of course Judge Judge

Good idea re the GoPro, I will bring mine and a suction cup along.

I suspect that we're all now thinking seriously about this trip - and hoping the weather forecast improves. Smile

Hopefully you've all had chance to look at the itinerary. If you have any queries etc please post them here or pm me rather than waiting until the day.

For the stop at Mons on the way home this map confirms that there are a good number of parking areas within walking distance of The Grand Place but it's doubtful we'll all end up in the same one.

ElA Are you going via the circuit on the Sunday for the porsche racing?

Hi G2, I have no fixed plans as of yet and don't know which car I'll be in at this moment in time. I will be driving past the circuit on the way there as I come from a easterly direction. I didn't know there was any Porsche racing happening though but will look into options nearer the time Wink

This is the racing detail. Shout if you end up heading in.

LINK => http://www.porsche.com/porschesportscup-germany/en/racingdates/spa/

Porsche Germany customer racing in Cup cars, and something like open track sessions for customer road cars apparently. Euro15 entry.

What time are you going to be at Spa G2?
I might head out there for lunch, then tip up to this if you are interested Thumb

9am - 5pm as I've been a bit keen and booked a very early shuttle over. Mrs G2 has an appointment in town at 6pm (my penance for booking said daft shuttle time).

Will be around the track in the morning, pit grandstand area during the afternoon or porschesportscup hospitality between races. there are lots of competitors but I don't think they get a lot of spectators. My Mobile number is on the email T8 sent out. Buzz if/when you get there.

Race schedule below for info.

.....everyone else safe travels, see you at the bar..Thumb

Ok G2, I'll try and get there for just after lunch. Looks like I'll be in a white 7.1RS. Last time I was in Belgium a few weeks back, my phone wasn't working so I'll try to resolve this issue tomorrow Wink

Traffic from Calais to mons was zero this am. No roadworks until after where you guys will turn off and it's sunny on the way..foggy at the track! Enjoy the ride over.
