Hello all,

Although I'm not looking to sell up,
What's the general consensus on value.

values, values :? all in the eye of the beholder?
BUT
I would value this car somewhere around £55k to £62k region, so there it is, now I await to be shot down in flames :)
I do prefer a tastefully modified car though, far more interesting imho.

I think the 102k miles would put more people off than the modifications.

:dont know:

I think finding a buyer for a modified car is the hardest part

I think £50+K and accept £50k ish is about right ? GLWS if you decide to sell

Interested to know your ET numbers on the 9 inch BBS CH-R wheels, do you knwo what the number is ? and are they 19 inch rim ?

Regards FRP

The easiest and more reliable way to get an answer is to ring some specialist dealers - include generalist Porsche dealers also. 9E does a lot of specialist tuning mods and a more generalist one will give you the 'spread' in values.

Irrespective of the mods, the 102k miles will impact (lower) the value.

I think that the mileage and the limited market will reduce this quite a bit - I think that you'd end up with offers more in the region of late 30's/early 40's (£K)

Christ mine is now at 90k miles,,,,worthless !!!! lol

The mileage piece does make me laugh.

These cars are like triggers broom, like you Faried, most parts on my car have been replaced over the last 20k miles.

Complete engine rebuilds help 😉

Thanks for all the helpful comments,
It was just a :?:

As mentioned mileage, condition, and finding the right person are all key.

I here what your saying about triggers broom, most of my cars have ended up like that

Faried, I will pm the BBS specs :thumb:

Phil just sold his car so there is clearly a market for modified cars :thumb:

He posts on every thread so I thought everyone had heard of him :) His car was not a turbo but it was a heavily modified 997 Gen 1 tip and he still managed to part exchange it at a dealer.

That looks really nice and with 'proper' mods/updates

996T's - modded or not - are still such incredible value for money and amazing platforms. Especially when compared with the 'coolant-less' and non-Mezger varieties! flame suit on...

Good luck with the sale if you decide to and FWIW, I'd say it was worth £50K too

Just my 2p

i think the Porsche market is unique, seems the more you modify the narrower the market and the less it is worth?

I purchased a 993 cab turbo conversion a few years ago. Although all the mods, conversion etc had been completed to the highest standards with no expense spared. When I came to sell it, no dealer would touch it! I ended up feeling that the car was worthless!!

The car never really floated my boat and never performed as expected. I learned a lesson to never trust the "so called experts".

Anyhow....car ended up going back to the dealer where I purchased. I just about broke even with the figures. A few months later it popped up on auto trader for 65k!!!!

Not seen it since?

Based on that, I would think this one stands at 45 -50k.

IME and IMHO a modded 996tt is far less of a hazard than one with gaps and a general lack of outlay in it's maintenance and replacement schedule. That said, it will always appeal to a smaller section of the market.

A lot of the specialist sales and service experts will give Insurance valuations to cars they look after and know well. Not knowing a car limits how accurately any of them can value a vehicle, short of a proper PPI and even then, knowing the maintenance and service schedule is all.
