another tapping thread...

hi all, after reading through the other engine tapping thread got me thinking about mine...

my 3.6 has a tapping sound on idle, has done for 7 years, since i got it.
15k miles approx done in that time.
next time it goes in ill do the borescope test but just wondered what the thoughts were, on a kind of, if its going to go, it would have gone by now?!

miles over 100k and sound comes from right hand side as you look at the engine. doesn't sound like tappets in the various vids posted on here.

all guesswork i know - just wanted a few views!

oil is mobil 1 0/40
