Aerokit fitted

So, a few weeks ago I posted that I had bought an OE front Aero PU. Now had it fitted a couple of weeks and finally got around to taking some pictures. I really love it, yes it hits the ground quite a bit (I also have lowered springs) but I have also fitted a rubber trim strip which I bought from a site in the USA (found on rennlist). It doesnt stop it hitting but it does help prevent the white showing through and I think it looks pretty good as well.
I have tried a few number plate options but gone with a bracket that bolts to the underside of the PU which is adjusted so the plate is just in front of the PU also, you cannot see the bracket unless you really look 8)

That looks really good :thumb: love it!

Where did you get the front bumper from? I am after the same, my next mod! Can only find expensive second hand GT3/RS items that are mostly damaged or the the fibreglass ones that come from Poland or some other Eastern European place!

Lovely looking car mate. Is that a GT2 rear spoiler?

I am a big fan of the aerokit.

Looking good , I also love the aggressive look on these cars. :thumb:

Thanks guys.
Yes, rear is gt2.
Front is porsche oem aerokit, purchased from porsche nottingham then painted.

Where did you get the GT2 spoiler from and how much was it mate

The full aerokit really transforms a 911, it was top of the list of must have's in terms of spec when I bought my car and am very glad to have it...just makes the car that bit more special and gives it a slightly more aggressive look- but in a very Porsche not over the top way...

Looks great. Im currently in the market for a 997 with aerokit, but if i cant find one i might just go down this route.

Question though, can you tell me was there any problems while fitting, do you need to take any parts from the original bumper and transfer them to the GT3 one?

@Bobba: I had the rear spoiler from ebay, I was looking for ages. A quick look just now and I didnt spot the same one but I imagine its on there somewhere. Cost was around 700GBP + painting at 500GBP. I did have a few issues, Chartwells baked it first and a number of air bubbles popped through the gel coat and they had to prep it - which cost a bit more - although to be fair the supplier coughed up when I complained. I made a rubber gasket to sit it on and you also need a replacement short wiring loom as the auto rising deck lid is removed - OPC notts supplied this, I think 70quid. Then get the car coded so it doesnt think there is a deck lid spoiler to raise and lower.
TBH I really wanted the turbo spoiler, it has been done by someone on here, but it is a serious amount of grief involving air box mods.

@Satch: I bought the front Aero PU from Porsche Notts and it came with everything required - just needed painting. Then you transfer the lights, wiring loom and the headlamp washers - pretty easy.

Just need to build up the courage to fit the GT3 style smile which means cutting a piece out of the shiny new PU

I think it looks good without the smile , I have one in the garage but could never bring myself to fit it . I was happy with the way mine looked without the smile. :thumb:

The aerokits are definitely growing on me......

Even though I'm a gen 2 man, the gen 1 aero- kit front bumper is still my favourite 👍🏻

Jon ,I though the same and always thought the gen2 aero front was not quite as aggressive looking as the gen1 aero front. then I brought my new gen2 and it came with this genuine OE front bumper which does have the more aggressive style like the gen1 aero :thumb: :thumb: So I was chuffed that there was a more aggressive option for the gen2 available

these are the dealer pics and I have already changed the alloys , which I didnt think suited the car.
