Computer thinks frunk is open - Easy Fix?

Hi chaps,
The obc thinks that the frunk is open. I get the red dash light, computer message and a 'pip' when I lock the car. Any ideas for an easy fix on this? I have squirted WD40 into the catch mechanism which incidentally works fine.
(2003 C4S coupe).

There is probably a micro switch in there not operating properly, or a wire off or damaged
 
There is in fact an easy fix. After fiddling about with the frunk/wd40/getting irritated etc over several days; I decided to read the message on the dash specifically the bit that says FRONT/REAR hatch may be open. And yes, the engine lid was open. Um er durrrrh!
