... I was wondering (as I'm ignorant to most things 964) how much something like this:

https://rpmtechnik.co.uk/restoration-project-builds/964-oak-green/

would cost:

a) already built (should something become available)

b) to do based on a sound standard car?

(Obviously I appreciate there are huge variances depending on spec but just a ballpark.. £60k? £70k? £100K+?)

Ta!

Hmmmmm.... not as bad as I thought!

That would be a minimum figure i reckon.

And 75% of the time, i'm wrong, so take that with a silo of salt. :D

would put it closer to 70. rpm are not particularly cheap either.

all a factor of how far down the rabbit hole you want to go. 300hp 3.6 is probably rocking motec ontop of a 15-20k rebuild. interior is full retrim, buckets and cage. big red brakes and prob 993 wheel carriers, full set of decent shorts plus geo, g50 rebuild hardly cheap either. plus finding the shell and then its still a colour change car that probably had dubious history to end up being a shell in the first place - limits potential buyers in the event of any unplanned resale. looks value compared to a 997 gt3 but would be much more expensive if you factor in liqudity on resale.

of course you don't 'need' most of the above to have a great fun reliable track/road car so can be much cheaper.

Thats £40 to £50 bags of works plus the shell surely.

:thumb: My Indy takes these on but going the long hood route. £50k is about right without significant engine work/power upgrades.

Most of the dough is in labour but if you've got a 'decent' 964 car to start with you could half the estimate depending on how far you go with expensive extras

having said that 50 bags will find you a fully sorted track focus C4 and an 'average' C2
