Hi,

I've got a 981 Box, 13 plate with a 6 CD PCM with Bose (no sat nav).

If I burn a CD with 60 tracks it will only show 20 tracks on the PCM.
If I burn a DVD, it does not recognize the disc, and says error.

I wanted to ask, do these PCM's accept Audio DVD's?, or any DVD for that matter?
How can I get a CD to show all the tracks?

Thanks

Are you.burning the files as audio?

I normally just keep my PCM3 loaded with a few disks full of files, it should recognise them - you might need to close the disc when you're finished writing

Hi, Yes burning as audio.
Can it play DVD's?
Can't understand why it could only see 20 out of 60 tracks on the CD I burned.

What year is your car and what firmware version is your PCM running?

(Hold "Trip" and "Main" simultaneously to get the diagnostic menu)

Try burning as a data disk - it should pick up an play all the files. I have a full folder structure on the discs I've burned organise by artist, the album and as a data disk PCM3 picks that up fine

And that is on DVDs, so a thousand or so tracks

thanks are u using DVD or CDs?
Also what burning software do u use please?

It was DVD, but I can't remember the spec of the disks - they may have been DVD-R, but will check when I'm home tomorrow.

Software used has either been Nero, or even just Windows, but the disks have been closed for any further writing.

I tend to have a mix of disks, and a 16Gb USB stick with my PCM3 at any time.

Try burning as a data disk -

That worked!, you need to burn as data disk rather than audio.
Cheers
