Back home after a great trip. When this was first mentioned 9 months ago I really was sceptical it would actually happen given some of the forum personalities. Brilliant to see you all with your cars in their native habitat.

I echo the thanks that have been said already to the instigators, organisers and our resident mechanic but thanks to all of you for the great company which made for a great trip.

Now to get booking that next trip.....

Safely back up in the frozen north. Absolutely lashed down for the last 100miles. Least it's cleaned the car a bit! Dropped Paul off and even took a 5mile detour on some twisty back roads near home. Don't want to stop driving it now

Epic trip I'll never forget. Thanks everyone Very Happy

Reckon I did 293 litres of fuel, so that's 21 avg MPG. Given how we were using the cars that's pretty tidy I think.

Bloody hell, what a trip!
Thanks to all who made it possible. Met some great people and put faces to handles. Sadly, I don't remember too much of the evening shindigs.
Also sadly didn't manage to hit the limiter in sixth on the return journey, simply too much traffic, so 6,400 in top will have to be its max for the time being. Grin
Mart took this pic of the convoy on Sunday morning. Memories are made of this . . . Thumb
Flippin' brilliant . . .!!

What an awesome trip - great people, great cars and fantastic roads.

I went to see my GP earlier this morning as I had a very bad case of the shakes, after performing a few tests he has diagnosed a severe case of SVWS (Shell V-Power Withdrawal Symptoms).

GP suggested trying to wean myself off of wearing petrol soaked clothes all the time by keeping a petrol soaked rag in my pocket, am expecting a delivery from DHL this PM, details below - hoping that will keep me going for a while.

Just sitting here now, sniffing some Zippo lighter fuel hoping that DHL get here soon.
