Welcome Advait,
My local indy Brookspeed have a car they race in the Porsche Carrera Cup
Its amazing how much time and effort is put into racing one of these cars. There seems to be a dedicated tech who works full time on the car and other team members just prior to and on race day.
Have you got a team yet in the UK.

Welcome

Are you in the 2016 series ? of so as a Pro or ProAm1 ?

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your career.

Thank you all!

I'm still working flatout , to bring in the sponsorship for 2016 and 2017.
I've missed Brands and will be missing Silverstone too.

I'll be on the grid in June for Round 3 onwards.

From the looks of things , I am going to go with Pro-Am1 this year.
Get used to the car and British track.
In 2017 , i'm going for the title in the Pro category.

I'm here to win! :)

Good luck in the season, and keep us all posted on how you find racing in the UK .
Try and find the time to get to some of the Porsche meets during the summer .A big one only about an hour south from London is " Simply Porsche" at Beaulieu Motor Museum 5th June.

Welcome Advait, great to have you on here. If you get the chance to get along to any Porsche track days, you may be in great demand as an instructor (not sure of the etiquette or protocols here), which may be a good way to rack up seat time on the UK tracks. 911uk organise some events as do Porsche Club GB.

Good luck with your career, I will be keeping an eye out for you!

Welcome Advait, good luck with the racing, it's a great race series and competitive so I am sure you will have a lot of fun. best of luck I will keep an eye on your progress :thumb:

Which team are you going with for the races this year?

Good luck with sponsorship. If you are looking to move to Supercup then think about the medium term with your sponsors and get their buy in for your journey through the categories as paid drives aren't easy to come by. You need circa double the budget for Supercup as you do for Cup GB.

Have a look at some of the European series too like Blancpain Endurance and the big one offs like Spa 24 hours, if you have the funding behind you then you can buy yourself a bit of experience and get your name into the paddock.

Thank you.
I actually do some instructing and work with some manufacturers. I'd definitely want to come along for track days with members out here.

As for the career pathway.
I'm looking to stick with Porsche because they have a very clear and systematic manner to move up.
Also, Motorsport is a business at the end of the day.
That's where my Indian card comes into play.
India is an emerging market and Porsche want to sell more cars. I will be looked at as an asset in the future by Porsche, 'First Indian factory Porsche driver'!

My plan is to move up the Porsche ladder (winning and dominating) and ultimately become a works Porsche driver for the GTE and eventually the LMP1 program at the WEC - Le Mans. Similar to the pathway Earl Bamber and Nick Tandy took.

As for now, i'm speaking to both British and Indian companies.
The fact that i'd be the first Indian driver in the Carrera Cup GB will really make me stand out, thus making my partners stand out too since the series provides a lot of visibility.
Also for private investors to invest in my career and be part of the story with returns being a percentage of my future earnings.

The budgets are relatively high (not single seater level though!).
PCC GB is about 200 -220,000 GBP +/- for a year. However , I have an offer to do the remainder of this season (6 rounds) for about 110,000 GBP +/-.
SuperCup is between 450-550,000 GBP +/- a year.

I'm absolutely relentless and am hungry to succeed!

Plus, these cars are truly something else!!: )
