Special Edition Cayman S - good buy?

I have been reading up about the Cayman S limited addition, only 777 made.
I would value any input regarding resale values.

If I buy the car because it's limited who the price eventually go up?

Are they a popular car? Or should I be paying just a little bit more than a standard 2008 S ?

Or find a very nice 2.7 (Gen 1) great engine and chassis combination
 
Yup that was the run out edition of the old engine and not worth the price that are being asked for them.
