This week I have done lots of little things in the interior that needed to be done. I have now managed to get the roll cage back in and it is really coming together.

This week I have been tidying up the door trims and making my own version of RS door pulls. The biggest challenge was the smallest bits. Making the trim bezels for around the pulls.

This week I start to re-trim the second seat and then get stuck into the custom dash pieces. All of these little things really seem to take up a lot of time.

I really enjoy your videos Jeff
It`s really good to see someone going the old skool route of doing all the work themselves, instead of buying off the shelf parts to just bolt on
Plus I love the colour purple
Retrimming the seats looked like absolute torture though
Keep up the good work, and regards to Mrs Jeff _________________ 1998 996.1 C2 3.4 with "Aerokit Cup"

Thanks Kris. It is comes down to not having an endless budget and being stubborn enough to just try to make stuff for myself.
Anyway here is this weeks addition.
This week I continue trimming the second seat and then have a go at trimming some armrests up in leather.

In this weeks episode I finally swap out the grey carpet for black, and continue tidying up some more trim bits.

This week I have been trying to get the door glass into to car. I have had a couple of set backs, but there is at least some more shiny stuff on the car.

This week I get the windows to wind up and down smoothly. I also strip off the anodising from the window frames, polish them up and then try out a product to protect them from oxidising.

Yeah, once you work out where all of the bolts are, they are pretty straight forward. I was amazed how much difference just changing the felt inserts changed how well the window wound up and down.

This week I struggle with installing the front and rear windows. I get the rear sorted, but I have to have a break from the front as it popped back out a couple of times. I have a plan to get it to pop in the way it needs to which I will try this week end.

After struggling with the front windscreen, we almost had it in and we cracked it! I also fit a new fuse panel and then start sorting through the wiring.

I have just arrived back home after a very packed, amazing week in Los Angeles. I spent the bulk of the time at Performance Developments, where Neil, in the spirit of my build, got me on the tools so I could do a lot of my own machining.
His knowledge is amazing, after spending 12+ years working in the Brabham Formula 1 team building engines, leading to 2 world Championships. Then moving on to Andial (the predecessor to Porsche Motorsport in the US), and TRD.
I have learned so much, in one week, and have gained a much better understanding of what good engine machining and building entails.
Here is my video of the week. It is a bit longer than usual, but I just had so much to cover.

This week I went back to do the edging on my carpet after being guilted into it by Mike at Luftgekhult. I also get the speakers into the door.
