Looking to service my 997 c2s, I have used Porsche centre in Aberdeen previously but £600 for a minor and £1000 for a major I think is a little bit pricy.
I heard from someone that the Porsche club members use the garage in Blackburn, can anyone confirm this and are they any good?
No warranty on the car but want to put the car to someone who knows what they are doing or can tell if anything is out of the norm.

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

David

Does it need anything other than standard service? There easy to work on so any decent garage could do it but not sure on any specific good ones for Porsche.

Where do you stay?

Yeah just basic service it requires, live in Inverurie

I'm going to have this issue this year as well. Thought about using Reidline in Kintore as they used to be Clark Motorsport. There's also a rally prep place in Inverurie called DMC Performace or something like that. AW Autotech in town maybe?

Not sure yet but let me know how it goes.

I think the garage you are speaking about is Blackburn garage

David is a good guy

He does work for king horn body shop who are Porsche approved.

I've not used him but I know he will be good.

It wasn't them but that's good to know as well. Definitely called DMC Performance and they are rally prep place but saying that might no know much about Porsche. Might speak to Blackburn.

Bavaria are suppose to be German specialists but never really heard anything great about them.

From what I've heard or read steer clear of Bavaria mate. I use AW Autotech...but I'd be keen to find elsewhere if I'm honest. I've heard of the mythical garage in Blackburn you speak of but it seems like no-one knows where it is haha

Have you tried Porsche Club GB region secretary for that area. His phone number will be on their website.
Alternatively TIPEC secretary.

Just phoned local OPC and there price for a minor was very reasonable so just going to try them.
Apparently get a free alignment check as well plus I get a nice new courtesy car for the day. I cant seem me ever affording a new one so good chance to try something out. Hopes its a Macan as Id like a shot of one.

FYI I had my CV boot done at Blackburn Garage. Its a was a struggle for them as driveshaft was siezed in the hub but they were sensibly priced and used genuine part. Id use again for these sort of jobs.

Even found out front end of mine is fully polybushed and commented on the car saying it very clean for age.
