Sadly I have heard today that Ray has passed away. Ray organised many a North Wales run out and was a regular at many car shows. He will be a huge miss to those of us that knew him. Our sincere condolences go to his wife Lin and his loved ones.

Knew him well

one of life's good guys and a big loss to all that had the pleasure to meet him.

We had both rallied MK2 escorts back in the day so always had another thing to chat about when not waxing lyrical about all things porsche.

I'll miss him, condolences to Lyn & family.

Jez.

Not good news, Ray will be a big miss :nooo:

Respect Ray and my condolences to your family.

Chris

Saw this on Rennlist, very, very sad. Rest easy Ray.....

I'm not sure if I met Ray but saddened to hear the news.

RIP

I met Ray on one of the 964 days I organized at Curborough. He was great fun to be with and loved 964s. I remember that late in the day a flock of sheep wandered onto to the bottom of the circuit. In true rodeo style Ray jumped in to his 964 and drove down to the bottom and rounded them back into their field!

Rest easy Ray.

Awful news, my condolences to Ray's family and friends.

I only met him once on a group meet in the lakes. We had a good chat and he was great company. RIP Ray.

I met ray at the the lakes and at Lotherton hall in July last year , he was very keen and had a super clean car, it was him and Rob that put all the notes on the 964s to gather us all together in the corner of the show field . RIP Ray Stobbs

Attended Ray's funeral on friday. Standing room only and a fitting tribute to a much loved husband, father and friend. He was a big bowie fan and 'Heroes' was played as we left the service. Very fitting, very fitting indeed.

sleep well fella.
