anyone had there cayenne turbo remapped, thinking of doing a stage 1, or perhaps even jumping to stage 2 with decat, just wondered if its worthwhile ?

yes, it's definitely worth it
which gen turbo ?
I'd go with DMS

its the early one 03 plate, but nice condition, well serviced its whole life by Porsche..
do you have stage 1 or 2 on yours ?

:yeah:

Mine was a year old (just a v8 s)... Needed a new gearbox from OPC Porsche.

Thankfully had the OPC warranty

fair play Ken;
I must have got lucky !
over 60K miles on mine with a DMS remap. Not a single issue

I guess this is the problem with being the 'single voice' - no failure trends

I dont' think there is an issue if you are doing this near the start of the life of the car. The problem is that most Cayenne (2003) are approaching 100,000 miles and have small gearbox issues - we are doing probably a gearbox every two months. Putting on a remap at that sort of mileage is just going to make it worse.

Ken

true- it only had 18K on it when I bought it - thinking back, I actually did over 80k in it - it was just over 100K when I traded it in !
19.8mpg ave if I remember correctly
on current prices thats £21K in fuel - ouch !
no wonder I swapped it for a hybrid

Mine was done by a company in London (I'll dig out the name if your interested)
Decat + tony banks bespoke switchable stainless exhaust (sounds epic)
It's not a chip though it's a bespoke map to your requirements
They also tweaked the box,
The difference is night and day
I've had no issues whatsoever, very pleased. Not so much with 19mpg :thumb:
