Another two 964s for sale at RPM.

964 C4 Coupe in Slate Grey/Black for £36K with 133K miles

Prices still seem strong at RPM...

no mention from RPM of engine rebuild or compression/leakdown numbers so i assume the data is on the higher side of acceptable else they would use the low numbers to drive the sale. RPM do test all cars they sell.

^^^ No mention of what air pressure the tyres have run or how often it's been changed/Nitrogen what

That C4 sits fantastically low worship

+1 for those colours - beautiful! thumbsup

Having just had a new insurance valuation on my 964 C4 (104K miles) I have to agree with Zingari that those prices look pretty reasonable - if the engines are sound.

A Yorkshireman asking a Scotsman about money ....?? Surprised Hand

£40K. That's 40% more than I paid for it just over a year ago. When I was at the PCGB Althorp event a couple of months ago I was advised by both the 964 register secretary and by Silverstone Auctions that my 2014 valuation was too low.

Thx Joe - I take that as a compliment given the quality of your own 964.

And they provide a good warranty too. Wouldn't concern me.

These prices look good, particularly the C2.

As a good point of ref, i bought the last 964 they had for £38k a few months back. It's a C4, had 115k miles & full engine rebuild by rpm themselves very rrcently which cost the previous owner £12k.

Just seen this thread. The grey c4 was mine!

Does anyone know who bought it from rpm?

I have just found the last (current) mot certificate at home. I will drop Greig a line but not sure if he will be able to give out contact details for the new owner.

When I saw the pics I wished I had been able to keep her ;( lots of happy memories in that car!

So my 2 cents for the hell of it..

After the 997, the 964 is the best looking 'modern' 911 Grin

hi Martin,

Thread revival! Your ex-C4 looks lovely...during your ownership how did you find its handling on fast country lanes &/or track may I ask?

Ask as one side of me wants to lower my C4 to RS height & get newer suspension to deal with understeer on track....but on the flip side I find current stock ride height & suspension just fantastic for b-road thrashing on our pot-holed unmaintained roads & even pushing hard it's not enough to provoke serious understeer. Dont want to make an expensive mistake...

Roro on the flipside the 997.1 is really growing on me, i keep mistaking them for 993s from afar when used to think they looked really plain compared to aircooled models

... I keep looking at 964's... I always did prefer the look to 993, I wish I'd bought before the prices went through the roof, however I've missed the boat and there's a number of other motors I'd rather have in the garage at 30k+ Smile

[quote="badlands"]hi Martin,

Hi badlands!

I did get bumpsteer with it being low, but Chris at center gravity set up the car and greatly reduced the understeer. The lowering kit was on before I got the car so don't know how harsh a new kit would be, but I know you can get adjustable kW kits etc.

Untimately if your suspension needs replacing I would buy something like kW adjustable and speak to centre gravity or rpm to get the set up which suits road and track. Personally I think standard height is too high.

I like the d90s and kept them on. An added bonus is you get extras give in the suspension from the higher tyre sidewalls on the 16" wheels.

As an aside I have my 'track' d90's and 888s for sale at the moment as they don't fit on the new car.

The c4 is a great all round car which is very capable and great fun both on road or track

Martin
