I have been using a compressor part number 997.652.051.00 for a few years now since I picked it up very cheap on eBay (£25, I think)

Anyhow, i thought i'd buy another as the price was reasonable (£50 - ok, i know that's not exactly giving it away, but it did include postage), that way I could keep one in each car.

Anyhow, the new arrival is part number number 997.652.055.00 - so must be from a newer model.

The design has changed quite a bit since the earlier one, most notably from a use perspective, the grip to thread the connector onto the valve is much improved, being ridged plastic rather than barely-knurled brass. This should make it a lot easier to use.

I also note that it was made in Austria, rather than Germany - not sure if that is a good or bad thing, though either way I'm relieved it was not yet another Chinese import...
