got a 996 GT3 mk2. does it use the same alternator as other 996 models?

looks like a common part but just wanted to check.

Go to OPC, they now offer reconditioned alternators in Porsche boxes with Porsche warranties. Dandy.
 
new Bosch alternator from euro car parts.

car seems to be running a lot better now. must have been on way out for a while me thinks
