Does anyone here have one ?
I have been offered an amazing deal on one and wanted some experineced advice.
Thanks

what year/model, my friend has one (early 09) and he has had nothing but problems with the TPMS and alternator.
stunning car and very fast, but hugely expensive to maintain.

My best mate has had 2 GTC and loves them ,he got pissed off when our M5 sat on his tail he could not gasp that power to weight ratio is just as important as total bhp not a car for me though :thumb:

They are nice cars but I'd be maybe calling a dealer and asking for servicing/part replacement costs. I've also heard they are hugely expensive to own.

Mate of mine has one, it's a 57 plate I think. He tells me the last service was £5300 and included a new alternator and other items.

Since then he's resorted to only driving it on weekends and has tried to flog it to me on several occasions at a cut price!

They are a lot of car for the money but a little too chaaava for me.

I know a bloke that has one for sale, I do hope it is not his you are buying

What area is it from?

Link to the advert?

From what I know, it is a car that plummets when an owner takes it out of main dealer servicing. If its been looked after by an indy, be suspicious - however good that guy could be, the fact is moving a Bentley on with anyhting other than main dealer history is a steep mountain to climb. Usually a main dealer won't touch it as will many prestige car specialists.

Horrendously expensive to maintain. Take a look at Piston Heads Gassing Station - similar story about a guy offered one from a family member at a knock-down price. Seems a prevalent practice.

My dad has had two - servicing and running costs are commensurate with the car's original purchase price no matter what you're getting it for remember. That said - Bentley do have a fixed price service menu now (sign of the times). Fabulous cars that shrink around you and give more driver involvement than you'd imagine. It's like a ReTardis though in that it has a tiny cabin for such a vast car!

Fall out of bed pricewise :what: Despite fitting mainly VW components the electrics are frightening when they go wrong to try and trace.

There was a thread on PH detailing all the issues with the earlier ones - not least the high level brake light - if this isnt working you may as well drive straight to Douglas Valley. TPMS is another issue

Buy one but with a warranty which aint cheap. I thought about one until I read into it. Plus I didn't have the bark finish ID bracelet, neckchain and singlet vest which would be extra expense :nooo:

Regardless of running costs I think the single biggest flaw with the Bentley
Continental GT is without doubt the image- /club promoter/drug dealer on his way to Nikki Beach Marbella.

Umm all very interesting...it would be a second/garage car BTW

I've never had that negative image in mind about the Bentley. Usually middle aged well to do men used driving them.
