Agreed, although Porsche will be very aware of what these cars could have fetched in the UK, this 'value' price is all part of the plan I reckon to make it look even better against the rivals - the extra profit from the sale of so few cars wouldn't even register on Porsche's books.

One thing is for sure - they will have worked it all out!! Thumb

Floor ....

None of the colours are doing it for me, so I'm hoping for PTS to appear.
I kind of thought that this would look special...perhaps its the light...its not
making me go ''wow''... Rolling Eyes

Are you kidding, the purple looks nice. Needs black wheels though.

Check out the size of that rear spolier.

Any news on delivery date nick? Is that your old one at JZM?

At the moment only two colours are 'included in the price', which are White
and GT Silver Metallic. Two special colours...Lava orange and Ultra Violet,
are offered at £1805.00, and that's it for now !.

I'm hopeful that PTS will come online later on in the process....for now,
those are the only colours on the table....and the production period is
supposedly quite short too.

Its worth bearing in mind that when the 997 GT3 RS gen 2 came out in
Spring 2010, the options were three colours...White/Grey/Blue. With these
base colours you could spec your car with three accent colours, gold, white
and red.
So white/gold...white/red...we've even seen a later car have white/black,
then blue/gold...blue/red etc and grey/gold, grey/red etc.
Again no PTS to start...but later on in late 2010 it came online...so for the
997 GT3 RS gen 2, those wicked colours, Riviera blue...Signal yellow..Guards
red, Maritime blue etc all came out as 2011 registered cars.

So, here's hoping...

Wink

I don't really get that. So you have secured a place in the queue to get an RS, but you're not able to pick a colour you really want unless you wait for the chance that the other colours might be available? At what point do you bite the bullet and pick non-PTS without losing your order completely?

Question

Out of the options available so far the Orange gets my vote Cool

The Spec gets locked in around 6 weeks before it gets built...

For now, it's Ultra Violet...and the order went in last week, but I've got
plenty of time to change it...and I probably will ! Thumb

Ps Lava Orange looks good...just not so sure about the Orange seat inserts..
I am hopeful that i'll get my wish and get a PTS slot for Voodoo blue, but
my OPC has no idea yet whether it'll happen...it just might.

The other afterthought - you can always have it wrapped too (in turn protecting the paint). Thus if you can't get PTS you pick a colour for residual value and wrap it in the Voodoo blue... Cool

..I was hoping that the ''sexual frustration colour bit'' would go under the
radar (yeah...right !) ...Weiss gold wheels are certain to look better than silver. Wink

Lava Orange for me..... Thumb

Nick, I was in OPC Tonbridge on Friday. They got 5 cars apparently, same number that they're getting of GT4's, although most of the RS's went to 918 owners as we know. You're a lucky man.

I asked them whether they watched where their GT cars ended up post-sale and they did say that if someone flipped their car on the market, it would be the last new Porsche they'd buy.... which is fair enough I recon on such a limited run car.

Lava Orange, go on..!! or GT Silver does look awesome, but sounds boring

Wow., they got 5...I know that there were at least three 918 customers,
maybe the owner of the dealership had the extra one....he's a long time car collector. Wink

The colour is a bit of a bug bear though...
