With my 996 C2 Insurance due I thought I would give the above companies a go.
Don't know why I bothered :x
I would think that I am very easy to insure. 51,FNCB, no points, car only used for social use, limited mileage(3000), car garaged and car unmodified.
My renewal quote from Quotemehappy was £256.
Bridle would not quote as he did not think he could get under £400  .
PCGB did not fair much better with a quote of £283.
My best quote on a comparison site was £159 (privilege).

Should these "specialist" companies promoted by our clubs and websites be able to offer competitive quotes ?
I find it very hard to think what type of person could actually earn a better deal with these companies. In an age of having to look after the pennies the option of paying through the nose for car Insurance is very unlikely to happen.

Have to agree with the promotion point, I've just renewed mine (1st full year for the 911), thought I'd give bridle a go and I don't know how i managed to end the conversation politely with the price they quoted, they were £1k above comparison websites with mods declared :floor:

Went with A Plan in the end and SKY who'd quoted to renew were a close second.

Ended up renewing with Churchill.
My quote was £165 which included breakdown cover. Due to my wifes car being insured with Churchill my quote has been reduced to £148.

Happy Days

I use bridle. They were about £80 more expensive than compare the market companies but the benefits should I need to claim outweigh £80. They worked hard to get the price down for me.

I'm happy.

Wanted to put a mate on my Insurance so he could keep my GTS ticking over whilst we go away for the summer. He's 31, own car, clean licence etc. insurer wouldn't do it unless he had owned a similarly powerful car.

Renewal was due in Sept anyway so I asked for annual premium quotes with an insurer who would.

Bridle (and I've been with them a few years) quoted £1,500 vs Tesco £630

I must have upset them or something

#confused.com :dont know:

we've updated our Insurance association to AIB Insurance
