996 or 997 turbo

Re choice

Congratulations and welcome to the turbo owners club, I think you have chosen the right car for yourself as long as you don't mind the depreciation. You will find it's every bit as good as a 996 turbo or gt2 or gt3 or maybe even better in some ways just enjoy the car they are awesome whatever your driving style, always keep an eye on the speedo though these cars are so deceiving, stamp on the loud pedal and before you know it your up to three figures! Especially on the motorways where there are speed cameras popping up everywhere:0(

Sadly, the country lanes in Cheshire and North Wales are littered with mobile camera sites and the use of unmarked police cars. One tip would be to set the speed alert warning. If you are doing mainly A roads on a run-out, consider setting it to 80mph (20mph above the national speed limit) and if doing mainly dual carriageways and motorwats conider setting it at 90mph (20mph above the legal limit). Hopefully this alarm trigger will avoid you being nabbed at 100mph+ which can have dire consequences on your driving licence and Insurance.

There are still some good stretches of road our way Cheshire, but you are right about the cameras and unmarkeds. It's more a case of picking your spot for short blasts of spirited driving and taking it easy for the rest.

The best thing about the roads in North Wales (or the A55 in particular) is that it lead all the way to the Anglesey Circuit which I am sure was built with the 911 in mind

I wont name the roads in particular but you know the ones, heading out towards two towns in particular. pick your time right to avoid the HGVs and tractors press the loud pedal and you're away.
