Wheel damage

Hi
Recommendations and advise please.
I have 'curbed' (fairly minor damage to the outer rim) a 20 inch diamond cut Carrera classic wheel and apparently there are two alternative for repair. No1 involves the complete wheel being stripped of all paint and lacquer re painted and the complete wheel being re cut on a CNC lathe and then finally re finished with clear lacquer the alternative No2 is to have a local repair done to the damaged section only which would conceal the damage but the Diamond finish would not be replicated.
Any ones personal experiences would be appreciated

ChrisW of Exel Wheels has experience of refurbing 991 alloys. I would chase him.

Another recommendation for Chris at Exel, top bloke!
