Anyone use any of the plastic alloy wheel protectors available? I mean the ones that fit between the tyre and wheel and protect the rim. They look fairly discrete, but not sure.
 
I don't but I think they are a great idea. They also appear to make your alloys look half an inch bigger. I believe you have to deflate the tyre in order to fit so make sure you are near a proper car tyre inflater when doing the job.

As much as anything, I wondered if there was any loss of tyre pressure over time similar to a slow puncture, or if the tyre manufacturers have any issues with their use on performance cars.
