Spies have caught the Porsche 911 Turbo on numerous occasions, but new details are starting to emerge about the highly-anticipated model.

According to AutoBild, the car will be equipped with a four-wheel steering system which will enable the model to be nimbler than its predecessor. Little is known about the system, but it will likely work with the car's all-wheel drive system.

As we have previously reported, the 911 Turbo could feature a tri-turbo 3.8-litre six-cylinder engine with 520 bhp (386 kW) to 540 bhp (405 kW).

It may enable the model to accelerate from 0-62mph in 3.3 seconds and hit a top speed in excess of 195 mph.

The car will reportedly be introduced in the Autumn of 2013, before going on sale in the spring of 2014.

I'm assuming there will be the sum total of zero feedback from the rear steering :?:

Not true - there will be two steering wheels.

Four wheel steering on a rear engined car sounds very wrong to me. The engine wants to swing round and overtake the front anyway, and having the rear wheels turning will just increase that likelihood surely. Unless more drive is shifted to the front wheels in proportion to the angle the rear wheels are turning?

Still, at least now the car is more likely to go through the hedge forwards instead of backwards :?:
