All new 600hp Porsche 991 Turbo spotted again

2.9 for the 997 turbo s so I should very much expect sub 3 for the new one...

..2.9, that is frankly ridulous.

...it's so, so slow... :floor:

..just joking, must feel like being strapped to a rocket...the 997 GT2 rs I
went in (had some pax laps at Oulton Park) felt like that...

Yes, I guess you're right ^^^^^ Maybe 600bhp for a forthcoming GT2 using the same engine. The 997 GT2 was rated at 530bhp.

So no 991 GT2? Please let that be true, I might actually end up only losing a modest sum on this car :D

Although knowing Porsches appetite for 911 variants I'll be amazed if there's not a GT2, GT2RS, GT2 4.0RS and a GT2S

That is only a three year rolling release schedule to 2014.

Just means GT2 is probably 2014+

I have been following the development of the forthcoming 991 turbo very closely since the 991 series was announced.
They is no confirmation if the car has triple turbos although rumours have it that it does. If it turns out to be true & I wouldn't be surprised. Most likely this is to increase low boost response & reduce turbo lag to almost non-existence.
Pertainng to speculation on the power output. IMHO, it will be very similar to the 997.2 turboS which makes 530hp. At most I would give it up to a ball park figure of 550hp. The biggest improvement will come from the torque it will generate. The 997.2 turboS is quoted @ 700Nm / 516ft.lb @ 2,100-4,250rpm with an over boost of 750Nm / 556ft.lb.
I'm not at all surprised if the new 991 turbo will have 750Nm & 800Nm / 590ft.lb on over boost.
On top of that this car will be lighter than the outgoing version by at least 40-50kg. Chassis set-up will be very similar to the C4S but with minor tweaking to the suspension set-up
All in all it will be a much faster car & definitely capable of sub 3sec from 0-62mph on Sport+ mode. 997.2 turboS is factory conservatively quoted @ 3.3sec on Sport+ mode.
Having said all these then again I maybe completely wrong.
Last but not least I expect them to unveil this car either in March /2013 Geneva Motor Show & if not latest by Sept / 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show in time for the factory to manufacture it as a 2014 model.
This will be car to die for. Cheers mate!

This is the date I've been given, hence my 1st March 2014 delivery date for my car
