Fantastic Day.. Thank You Everyone.

Fantastic day thanks to the fellow 911uk'ers, the weather and CATDT.

Forget your remap, your bigger turbo, your new alloys, spend your time and money at CATDT and learn to drive and appreciate your car.

Jo, Colin & Paul thank you so much for everything. Sure Millbrook is a great place, but it's the people at CATDT that really make everything so fantastic.

Colin, please make some time to write that ebook and put me on the list.

For those coming at the weekend, please note that Fordfield Road is closed until September. This is the road that links Flitwick to Millbrook, so if you exit at junction 12 of the M1 you will have to find another way around.

My suggestion would be to carry on to junction 13 and exit there, following either the A507 or the A421 to get to Millbrook, MK45 2JQ.

Look forward to seeing you at the weekend.

Jo

For 11th August, I am capping the day with the 3 of you already signed up, as I have another client wishing to take a 1-2-1 full day. They are a fellow Porsche enthusiast, so you'll be in good company over lunch.

Look forward to seeing the Sunday crew at the gate for 08:45 hours - please be prompt.

An excellent day today by the CATDT team, great to meet Mat and Stephen in their 996 TT's

It was beneficial to start off from where I left the previous event (Day 1) and more onto the more advanced driving dynamics to build up and release more of my driving ability, including finally doing the complete Millbrook Alpine route

On the day Bealo won the bottle for being the most consistent driver in his impressive modified 996 TT with regular laps in the 49's, followed by myself with laps in the 53's then Mat with laps in the 51's

Different to a track day but actually I learnt more, just need to be able to apply the learning in the not too distant future.

As said great day and one that i would recommend to anyone wanting to learn what the car is doing through a corner and what you can do as a driver to get the most grip possible.

A big thank you to Jo and our instructor Colin for a great day.

I will be back soon!

Also Jo please keep me in mind if you both venture to Koh Samui... Always a spare room at my house..

Great to meet Matt and Sundip... even though he got my name wrong lol....

Agree with the other chaps, another great day where my learning/ability clearly progresses and I get to know my car much better. It is great to feel so comfortable in the car and to know where my limits are, as well as the limit of adhesion and the different ways to steer through corners using all the methodologies.

Thanks again Colin and Jo, now work out what course 3 should be ;-)

Chaps great to meet the both of you and talk cars/driving, Stuart hope things go well on your week of track days!

Another great day with 911uk members with warm sunshine to boot :thumb:

Glad you all made it safely home and to read your considered positive reviews from your days learning.

Congratulations to:

Consistency Challenge = Bealo
Driver of the Day = 911uk
Slidey Choc = Matsle1ght

Consistency times for those that wish to compare to 22/07/12 attendees:

49.23 / 48.97 / 50.07 / 49.56 / 49.84 = 1.10 = Bealo
53.86 / 54.47 / 53.59 / 53.06 / 53.13 = 1.51 = 911uk
54.83 / 52.97 / 53.72 / 52.15 / 50.60 = 4.23 = Matsle1ght

As an fyi if lap 1 & 5 are removed from the calculation the difference is:

1.10 = Bealo
1.51 = 911uk
1.57 = Matsle1ght

Great day, lovely company and another enthusiastic group from 911uk. Good to see you again 911uk & Matsle1ght and to meet you Bealo.

Thanks for the chocs Matsle1ght - guess what, they've nearly gone already :grin:

Bealo - you may well see us in your stomping ground in the coming year :thumbs:

& group day number 3 is on the request pile for planning by Colin. Watch this space :)

Jo
