The 2013 991 Turbo variant sports a wider bodywork in the rear along with a prominent rear wing, redesigned front and rear bumpers, 20-inch wheels and eye-catching air inlets on its hips.
The big surprise for the 991 Turbo may very well come from the engine bay as according to recent reports, the new model may get a tri-turbocharged variant of Porsche's 3.8-litre flat-six.
The setup is said to comprise a smaller turbocharger positioned closer to the 3.8-litre flat-six for instant response and increased torque at low revs, and two larger units that are similar to the Variable Turbine Geometry turbochargers employed by the current 997 Turbo.
The system will help the engine provide a more linear delivery of power and at the same time, improve fuel economy and reduce CO2 emissions.
