Looks to me like a Japan cult car kind of thing, in which case normal 'Western Rules' probably don't apply. Similar vein to those ones with loony-tunes levels of negative camber so that the tyres all run on the inside edge.

Reminds me a bit of the FTO - as in Mitsubishi FTO - which stands for something like 'Fresh Touring Organisation'.
 
I quite like them but they look like they need 2 turbo's and about 650 bhp .

Definately an acquired taste, body is sort of ok but that rear wing......

You're spot on Tim it is a Japanese cult thing....and you love it.
 
Sometimes you see a modified car and you know it's different from stock, but the changes are so subtle they are barely distinguishable. Here is a great example of such a car (cheers for the Idlers link TJ!):

I'm afraid you are quite right, i do love it (i feel 'outed'..)- with the exception of the absence of turbos. this thing should spit fire and have at least 500bhp, from two large turbos with enough lag to boil an egg.
