Hi all, which oil should I use to top up my C4s 997 Gen 1.

I have bought Mobil1 0W-40W is this recommended?

thnx

Anyone...help?

I'm on my way to pick the car up, I popped in to halfords and got confused when I saw 5W

Both of them will do. The 0W-40 is better at lower temperatures and recommended when is below -25C :)
According to Porsche you can have the following
0W-40 5W-40, 5W50, 0W-40

So you should not worry too much. The most important thing is to make sure you always have enough oil and topup when needed

Thanks for the reply.
So it shouldn't make any difference wether the car has 0W and I add the 5W, is that right?

Ideally you want to use the same oil and brand but it should not cause any issues what you use and in most cases you might not even know the oil used.
